During its design phase, the Note 10+ was internally codenamed “Horizon Canvas” because designers envisioned the display stretching like a painter’s horizon. In early concept sessions, engineers experimented with a temperature-sensitive back finish that subtly shifted tone depending on ambient heat—a feature later shelved but fondly remembered in internal sketches.

One lead developer once joked that the device’s battery was engineered to “last through an entire desert safari” after an impromptu team trip to the UAE inspired a desert-mode power test (purely anecdotal and creative). Designers also shared that the S Pen’s feel was refined through hours of blind sketch tests by visual artists to ensure it “felt like a real brushstroke on glass.”
