During internal Samsung testing, engineers nicknamed the Note 10 “The Canvas” because they found that most users naturally held it in landscape for quick sketching—even before the official drawing benchmarks. Early prototype S Pens had a soft ceramic tip for realistic shading effects, but this was replaced for durability in the final version.
